Magic in Covent Garden

Covent Garden is full of street entertainers and has been for a very long time; Samuel Pepys mentioned street performers in his 1662 diary. It is the only place in London which is licenced to have such acts and the performers have to autition for the market's management in order to obtain a timetabled slot. There are 30 minute shows running through the day, every day of the year, except Christmas day.

To balance a bike on ones child, surely must involve some magic...

Thanks to LB Diamond and Tessa Conte for hosting the Nature of Magic Blogfest.

  1. We have a buskers festival here in Halifax in the summer - always well-attended. Sounds very similar, only ours is an annual thing instead of every day. Love your shot!

Found your blog from the A to Z link up.
