I love Waterloo Bridge, for the history that it holds. The bridge that stands there now was built mainly by women in 1940. And they chose to make it out of self cleaning stone...genius!
It is the tree :) A while ago now,the trees by Embankment and Waterloo were wrapped in polka dotted material. There is another picture (which shows this better) on my Southbank post.
I love that bridge, too, but forgot about the self-cleaning stone. Now, if we could just do that for our houses, too!
